Congratulations are in order for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco!

The couple announced their engagement with a series of photos shared to Gomez’s Instagram. The Emilia Pérez star kicked off her Instagram post by showing off her new engagement ring, featuring a massive marquise diamond set on a twinkly diamond pavé band.

“Forever begins now,” Gomez wrote in the caption. Blanco commented, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”

The next photo showed Gomez sitting on a picnic blanket dressed in a shaggy fur jacket and light-blue jeans. She smiled wide while looking down at her ring finger. The following slide features a selfie of Gomez showing off her new bling, while the last snap captures the newly-engaged couple embracing each other as Gomez holds her left hand up to the camera.

Gomez and Blanco’s engagement comes after a year of dating. Since they went public with their relationship in December 2023, the two have frequently opened up about the details of their supportive relationship.

“I’m beyond proud to know that there is someone in the world that deeply cares about every tiny detail about who I am,” Gomez said last month during a guest appearance on CBS Sunday Morning. “And have someone support me, encourage me, inspire me and motivate me. It brings me joy. And more than anything he’s just my best friend. I’m really, really lucky.”

Blanco has also talked about what relationship milestone he hopes to achieve next: starting a family. “That’s like my next goal on the box,” he said during a May 2024 interview on The Howard Stern Show. “I have a lot of godkids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. It’s my thing—I love being around kids!”
